Research shows that 75% of 3000 women taking part in the survey prefer to have sex after consuming alcohol. They said that a glass or two of wine was what they needed to lower their inhibitions and become more sexually adventurous in the bedroom.

Of the women surveyed apparently 6% had never had sex while sober. A lack of confidence was found to be the main concern of most women.

The results of this survey suggest that British women are lacking in bedroom confidence. Consuming alcohol gives their self esteme a boost.

Many women said that they would actually refuse to have sex with someone if they had not had a drink and they saw sharing a beverage all part of the courtship process.

The survey shows that lots of women are actually unable to relax and enjoy sex without having a drink first. But it was pointed out that alcohol consumption often leads to loss of self control and unwanted one night stands.

One in six women admitted that they did not have the confidence to sleep with someone without first having a drink.

The survey results showed that as many as 14% of women in steady relationships could only have sex with their partners after having a drink.

Another survey for men appears to suggest that they too lack sexual confidence. Many of the men interviewed have said that the reason they take a drink before sex is performance anxiety. They too tend to prefer to have had a drink before heading for bed with a prospective sexual partner.

The survey clearly shows that many people lack sexual confidence and aren’t able to communicate openly with one another. Some have expresssed concern over the use of alcohol in this way as this is often what fuels unprotected sex with strangers.
